Our story
Aquzz Hotel & Spa Maafushi Maldives was built in 2014 as a small, family-run hotel on Maafushi Island. Over the years it has grown into a 20-room, 4-storey property that quietly punches above its weight - a comfortable, modern base with the warmth of a guest house and the services of a larger hotel.
Our promise is simple: clean, well-kept rooms, a friendly team that remembers your name, honest pricing and a willingness to help with everything from speedboat transfers to last-minute snorkeling trips. We host couples on their first Maldives trip, families with young children, solo travellers and small groups, and we tailor each stay to fit.
Community
Choosing a local-island hotel like Aquzz means more of what you spend stays inside the Maafushi community. We work with local boat captains, dive masters and excursion guides, source food from local suppliers where possible, and follow island cultural norms around dress and behaviour outside of designated tourist beaches.
FAQ
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is until 11:00. The reception is staffed 24 hours a day, so early arrivals and late departures can usually be accommodated with luggage storage.
Breakfast is included free of charge for most room rates. The buffet offers continental, Asian, American and halal options. If your booking does not include breakfast, it can be added for around 8 USD per person.
Velana International Airport is around 28.1 km away. We arrange chartered speedboats (around 35 minutes) or public ferries (around 90 minutes, no service on Fridays). Please contact us at least 3 days before arrival to confirm your transfer.
Yes. Children aged 3 to 10 stay free of charge in their parents' room. Family rooms, a kids meal menu and children's books and toys are available.
Snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, wind surfing, jet skiing, kayaking, dolphin cruises and sunset trips can all be booked through our activities desk.
Yes - one on-site restaurant serving halal a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a poolside bar and a coffee shop.
Maafushi is a local Maldivian island, so modest dress is required in public areas. Bikinis and swimwear can be worn at the designated bikini beach and on excursion islands we can arrange for you.
Pets are not allowed at the property.
